How is pricing calculated?
Every plan is priced on memory: $1.25 per GB of RAM per month. CPU cores and NVMe storage scale with the memory you choose.
Which Minecraft versions and mod loaders are supported?
You can install any jar you want through Pterodactyl. We commonly see Vanilla, Paper, Spigot, Forge, Fabric, and Quilt servers.
Do I need a Pterodactyl account?
Sign up here with the same email you use on the panel and we link the two accounts automatically. If you're new, we create the panel user for you.
Can I upgrade or downgrade later?
Yes. Change RAM, CPU, or disk from your servers page. Downgrades apply immediately, upgrades generate a prorated invoice and apply on payment.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Cards via Stripe and PayPal balance or card via PayPal. Invoices update automatically once payment clears.
Do you offer free trials or refunds?
We don't offer free trials, but you can cancel anytime. Contact support within 48 hours of your first payment if something isn't right.
How does DDoS protection work?
Every node sits behind always-on layer 3/4 filtering, so volumetric floods are scrubbed before they reach your Minecraft server. The $1.50/GB tier adds premium application-layer filtering tuned for the Minecraft protocol (bot joins, ping floods, motd scrapers) plus priority support during an attack.
How often are backups taken and can I restore one myself?
Backups run daily by default and every plan includes backup slots you control from Pterodactyl. You can trigger a manual backup before a big change, download it over SFTP, and restore any snapshot yourself with one click — no ticket required.
How do I install plugins or a modpack?
Drop plugin jars into the plugins/ folder from the web file manager or SFTP, then restart from the console. For modpacks, switch the server jar to Forge, Fabric, or Quilt, upload the pack, and set the startup jar. Managed customers at $2/GB can hand us the pack and we'll configure it end to end.
Can I use a custom domain or subdomain for my server?
Yes. Every Minecraft server gets a free subdomain out of the box, and you can point your own domain with an SRV record so players connect without typing a port.
How many players can my server hold?
Player counts depend on RAM, plugins, and view distance more than on a slot limit — we don't impose one. As a rough guide: 4 GB comfortably runs 10-20 vanilla players, 8 GB handles a modded SMP, and 16 GB suits larger networks or heavy packs.
What happens if I run out of RAM or disk?
Nothing is deleted. The server will restart or refuse writes until you free space or upgrade. Upgrades are instant from the servers page — you get a prorated invoice and the new limits apply as soon as it's paid.
